Pluto in Capricorn is coming to an end, for now. On March 23, 2023 – it will leave for Aquarius, but – it’ll be back in the sign of the Sea-Goat a few more times till it FINALLY settles into Aquarius on November 19, 2024
So I’m not going to say that everything will perfectly align for everyone immediately into a sparkling new age – but that there is light at the end of the tunnel. And it is a process.
Even if you have shifted into the new frequency, vibe, or state of being that aligns with the energies of Now, you – and all of us – will still need to be vigilant and proactive in maintaining the work that has been done.
There will be continuous tests and back-and-forth movements during this time of transition. And it is imperative to keep moving forwards.
Here’s a list of dates
March 23, 2023 – Pluto moves into Aquarius
June 11, 2023 – Pluto moves back in Capricorn
January 21, 2024 – Pluto moves into Aquarius
September 02, 2024 – Pluto moves back into Capricorn
November 19, 2024 – Pluto settles into Aquarius and departs Capricorn for another two-and-a-half centuries
The last time Pluto was in Capricorn (1762-1778), we saw significant progress in science, commerce, and trade in Europe and North America – such as the refinement of the steam engine in 1764 – and political upheavals, as shown by the American (1775-1783) and the French Revolution (1789-1799).
At the same time, the 18th century also saw the expansion of slave trading and human trafficking.
It’s been a mixed bag – and over two hundred years later, the world is still beset by the political and economic inequalities set into motion during this critical time.
Between 2008 till the present, Pluto in Capricorn – yet again – leaves a mixed legacy. It started with a financial crisis and global recession, followed by banking collapse, swine flu pandemic, major earthquakes, Arab Spring, super tornadoes, Higgs Boson particle discovery, Boston marathon bombings, Ebola, ISIS, Syrian civil war, Brexit, significant changes and polarization in U.S. politics, meteorological records ( hottest years on earth), Women’s March in Washington DC, Black Lives Matter protests, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, handover of HongKong to mainland China, COVID-19, deepening of humanitarian crises, conflict, and genocide.
These are the top news events of these years (but so much has happened). And we still have twenty months to go!
There are some things to celebrate – but those victories are more down to individuals and smaller institutions that care about preserving the planet and leaving a legacy worth inheriting. A significant focus on sustainability and renewable energy continues to gain momentum worldwide. They didn’t make the headlines, but they are creating a cultural and technological movement whose larger effects we are more likely to see during Pluto in Aquarius. The seeds have been set, but a lot of the Pluto in Capricorn transit has been about toppling older systems.
Significant technological achievements have occurred during this time, transforming society’s relationship with technology. Social media, virtual worlds, online commerce, teleworking, and other innovations have changed societal understandings and expectations of life as we know it. More of this as we head into Pluto’s transit through Aquarius. (The earlier push for this is undoubtedly thanks to Saturn in Aquarius’ recently ended transit and Uranus’ ongoing transit through Taurus).
Despite so much of the negativity that Pluto in Capricorn has brought about, it has also pushed us – as individuals – and as a global society – to question our deepest values and to consider who we are, what we are doing here on this planet – and what road we walk on. There’s been tremendous change in the way we think about gender roles, cultural identities, and familial expectations across the world. Change is happening, but moving through the density of the past and so much of what has been buried, inherited, and reproduced, isn’t fun, easy, or pleasurable.
Thank the cycle-breakers.
Thank the whistleblowers.
Thank the people who use their time on this planet to make it better for all…
Hopefully, Pluto in Aquarius will allow the seeds set for liberation to take root – once it settles into the sign properly in November 2024.
Pluto will be back in Capricorn between June 2023-January 2024 and September-November 2024. Be aware of these time periods as unresolved issues with power, structure, legacy, and so on may require your attention. In terms of health, pay close attention to the bowel, spine, reproductive system, knees, and so on. Significant financial and relationship changes are possible: look at what you need to do to better align these aspects of your life with the frequency of change and awareness that everyone on this planet has heard in some form or another.
Make the most of March – June 2023 and January – September 2024 as you, in your own capacity, move towards a more aligned, fair, and sustainable reality.
