7-8 AUGUST 2015: STAR OF DAVID / SHADKONA YANTRA / HEXAGRAM / GRAND SEXTILE IN THE SKIES WITH THE SUPER-GALACTIC CENTER ( & the Moon, Mars, Black Moon Lilith, The North Node, Saturn)

Grand Sextiles look like the Star of David (Judaism) or Shadkona Yantra (Hinduism) surrounded by a Hexagon, also known as a Hexagram. They represent powerful portals of manifestation as they merge multiple elements and houses across the astrological chart. The ancients viewed the symbol as a symbol of Divine assurance, guaranteeing their protection and their ability to manifest what they desire.

So it’s best to watch your actions, intentions and words (more so than usual) as they represent the energy you’re putting into a powerful manifestation engine.

Phrasing it in a different way –

Be careful what you wish for 😉 as you will receive it in some form or another.

This Grand Sextile is particularly powerful as it involves the Super-Galactic Center (1 Libra) and the North Node (2 Libra), we’re sending out powerful energetic ripples that will further our individual evolution as we learn how to coexist with ourselves and others through partnerships – in life, business, and interpersonal shadow dynamics. The influence of the Super Galactic Center (with its supermassive black hole) draws or attracts to a very, very deep point of inner awareness and understanding.

It’s basically like dancing the tango with the most powerful body of energy imaginable. It leads the dance, and the way you follow in turn (there’s no question about that response) determines the nature of the path you take and your experience of it.

 

Let’s look at some of the players within this alignment:

Moon – early Gemini – Emotional energies/intuitive focus upon the mental constructs we learnt in early childhood. We reflect upon the emotions surrounding our early ways/methods of perceiving the world.

Mars – 29 Cancer – Preparing to leave the sign of The Home/Mother, Mars pushes forwards in the domestic sphere. Expect bold, brash actions and powerful emotional declarations.

Black Moon Lilith – 28 Virgo – The Dark Priestess prepares to complete her lessons in the sign of Virgo. Lessons surrounding the Shadow aspect of the Feminine come through strongly at this time.

Super-Galactic Center – 1 Libra – described above

North Node – 2 Libra – described above

Saturn – 28 Scorpio – The Karmic Taskmaster asks us to continue our review of Shadow-Lessons learnt in the Sub-Conscious/Dark Spaces within. Issues surrounding intimacy, sexuality, power and the like come to the fore for processing, reconciliation and/or karmic balancing.

Ceres – 28 Capricorn Retrograde – The Abundant Mother asks us to find a profound source of nurture (for self and others) within. The Crone appears as a powerful guide. Working upon one’s career or future ideas of what legacy you wish to behind may be a powerful way to focus your path at this time.

Salacia – 29 Pisces – We seek to complete a certain cycle of learning surrounding sexual matters, especially ones involving a certain level of scandal. Many will be opening themselves up to memories of past abuse/violation (in this life, or a prior one) to seek complete release in the transcendental, compassionate, unconditionally loving waters of Pisces. Rhodocrosite, Rhodonite and Rose Quartz may help for those who feel this placement intensely. Others, depending on their individual paths may not feel Salacia’s influence at all – it really depends on your journey, natal chart and sensitivity.

Amor – 1 Aries – We look to an ideal-type quality of Love, which goes beyond ego-based, body-based, mind-based or even heart-based ideas of connection. There is something immediate, embodied and undeniable about the kind of Love that we seek in the Self at this time. It’s not necessarily romantic, or sexual – but really goes past any Disney or Hall-mark defined standard of love.

South Node – 2 Aries – We draw upon lessons from the past which explore the dynamic between representing the Self with respect to others. Do we bodly assert the Self’s needs, do we temper it down to suit the group, or do we ignore it entirely?

I’m sure there are other influences which I can also write about in this space, but to be honest, that overview should give you an idea of the intensity of the current alignment. With so many planets about to enter a new sign: Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Black Moon Lilith, The Nodes – it’s a time in which we feel such intense currents of energy surround us, whilst holding our breaths for the next wave of energy to begin.

They cover 84 / 360 degrees of the zodiac (23.33%) so most people are bound to at least have one body intersecting with this alignment!

NEAR-GRAND SEXTILE: TRANSCENDING THE PAST TO BEGIN A NEW CYCLE IN THE PRESENT

Blessings all! We’ll be having a powerful Near Grand Sextile (NGS), beginning later today and lasting for 18.5 hours. The NGS is formed by the movement of the Moon through the sign of Gemini, linking up with Uranus Retrograde/South Node, Jupiter, Sun/North Node/Venus and Mars.

Grand Sextiles are essentially placements …that look like two overlapping triangles (one facing upward, the other, downward) surrounded by a hexagon. They are familiar symbols across diverse faith traditions. For instance, Hinduism might represent it as the Shadkona Yantra, or even the basis of the Mahalaxmi Yantra – whilst Judaism would represent it as The Star of David, also the Seal of Solomon.

Astrologically, these elements are templates for energetic manifestation of whatever that is desired. So be cautious with what seeds or intentions you place during this potent alignment – for they will manifest accordingly.

Those with astrological placements between 14-20 degrees Aquarius degree will feel it as an actual Grand Sextile. Those who do not can still work with the alignment by consciously engaging with Aquarian energies, ideals and pursuits, e.g.: Mental/Intellectual Awakening, Humanitarian Causes, Friendships, Idealism, Rebellion, Individuation, etc.

There are other celestial bodies such as Klotho, Damocles and Alnair that do exert their influence within this range. Each has its own lesson to teach. Damocles refers to the perils of power and reflects the maxim ‘be careful what you wish for’. It is also the bearer of unexpected news and shifts in perspective. Damocles was a real person who got his wish to sit in the monarch’s throne and reign, only to discover a sword pointed downwards to the throne, hanging only by a hair. He quickly realized that his perceptions of power were not in alignment with reality and renounced the position he was given, thereby indicating an altered perspective.

Klotho refers to the beginning of a new cycle of life, learning and karma – with seeds of the end embedded in the very beginning. In mythology, Klotho is one of the Moirai (Fates), along with Lachesis and Atropos. Klotho spins the thread of life, Lachesis measures it, and Atropos ultimately cuts it. As a Goddess in her own right, Clotho or Klotho is both giver and taker of life (to cut a very long story short, if you’ll pardon the pun). She is also associated with the energies of resurrection, dispensation of justice and the creation of the Greek alphabet (along with Hermes).

Alnair’s influence is one that imparts grace, detachment, balance, a keen interest in astronomy (would also extend to astrology). It is part of the Grus (or Crane) constellation (www.constellationofwords.com). The Crane itself symbolizes longevity, secrecy, strategy, loyalty, innovation and honour. It advises you to stay focused on your tasks without drawing too much attention to yourself and also emphasizes the use (or transcendence) of the past as the foundation for your future (www.totemwisdom.com). – And more or less – that’s the position I’ve been recommending people to take at this time of great intensity.

Putting it all together, this Grand Sextile energy is one that can really work towards creating or beginning a whole new chapter in your spiritual journeys, based upon your engagement with your pasts. It’s time to let go of ideas of power and desire that are not in alignment with reality (unless you’d like to be forced into that shift, as Damocles was, literally at sword-point). It’s also a time to stay centered, grounded and somewhat secretive about your work, transformation and journey at this time. The moment to present it openly will surely arrive. Keep working on what you have to and avoid unnecessary drama.

Those who work with this energy constructively can set the seeds for a profound transformation in their level of self-awareness.

Also – please bear in mind that profound karmic dynamics are also at play as indicated by Klotho’s role, and also the involvement of the Nodes.

This opportunity will last between 7:28 pm, October 12 2014 – 2:57 pm October 13 2014 (18 hours, 29 minutes). Please note that the Sun conjuncts the North Node at 10:38 pm on October 12th. I will do a separate post on this. The Sun/North Node also form sextiles to Jupiter (17 Leo) and Mars (19 Sag). Those with planets at or near 18 Pisces and 18-19 Taurus will feel this as two powerfully karmic yods.

VESTA, Goddess Asteroid of Priest/essing: A Few Notes by Priestess Bairavee Balasubramaniam, PhD

In the skies right now, Vesta is part of a Grand Trine and a near-Grand Sextile, as I discussed Earlier. She is helping us to (re) birth a Goddess-friendly intuitive paradigm, along with Juno in Cancer and Neptune Retrograde in Pisces. Juno is the element and energy of Divine Feminine energy as a whole – we know her as Asherah, Sophia-Gaia, Shakti – and so on. Vesta is her Priestess, tending the Sacred Flame in the Self and Others. And Neptune Retrograde drives us to dig deeper and to look at the Truth in our own Spiritual Conceptions.

Vesta generally asks us to look into ourselves, our most initimate (often sexual, reproductive) wounds that block our sacred-creative energy and Connection with Life-Source. She tells us that the healing of these wounds will allow us to tap into the wealth of regenerative, spiritually nourishing energy once more. She tells us how to Light the Lamp in ourselves, yet Again… Glowing with the Energy of the Goddess. In Scorpio (where she is now at 7 degrees), these lessons are further emphasized and highlighted. The challenge here is to know how to give, and how much.

Vesta, at present, is conjunct the asteroid Eurydike – Eurydike was a mythological figure associated with death by serpent, and confinement in the Underworld. There are many ways to interpret her mythology, but it resonates strongly with the element of sacrifice in the name of love. Her husband, Orpheus, fails to retrieve her from the Underworld as he is not willing to have faith and disobeys the condition of her release from death – to not turn around as he walks out of the place. He turns to look, and *poof* she’s gone.

With Vesta conjunct Eurydike, priest/esses in service of the Awakening Divine Feminine will be especially challenged all around to globe to sacrifice something or another. The question is what, why, and how? Sometimes it may be a sexual partner, other times, it may be an intimate friendship that is no longer compatible with your path. It can even be an outmoded view, as painful as it is, that you cling on to and limit yourself with.

But something clearly has to go – Give it up, but know why you do so.

Vesta/Eurydike oppose Bienor, another asteroid, at 7 deg Taurus. Bienor has many interpretations, most of which center around strength, and some concept of integrity. In opposition to Scorpio’s sexuality, underworld affiliations, healing/regenerative ability and deep magical connections – Bienor is likely to question how you manifest these Scorpionic energies through your activities of priest/essing.

It is important to note that the inclusion of Bienor completes the Grand Sextile – it would trine Mercury in Virgo (which opposes Neptune Retrograde) and Pluto in Capricorn (which opposes Juno in Cancer). So the act of service-integrity-sacrifice in your spiritual vocation, calling or path leads to a powerful anchoring of Energies for Manifestation.

Bienor represents a position of power that can also house those who perceive themselves to be ‘maintaining the status quo’ (Taurus), and casting judgment, or creating resistance to your Scorpio-based activities. The Priest/ess, facing this judgment, must then choose to respond to it with integrity, rather than revenge, retaliation or a further cycle of judgment or blame.

Perhaps what we’re called now is to Sacrifice the sense of control that Scorpio so enjoys and to realize that this Path is not a comfortable, or an easy one. It is ancient, but is also deeply challenging. At times we are called not to hit back, when we are attacked. At times, we are called to smile, stay still in the line of fire.

Wholly ignoring the Ego, we are called to Burn, Burn with the Flames of Spirit. I would associate this energy with Joan of Arc, with the Witches of Salem, with the energy of the Condemned, and hunted Feminine Spiritual Facilitator – She (or He) that has embraced the Divine Feminine in a spiritual vocation of Priest/essing in Her Name.

Now all this doesn’t mean you’re supposed to throw yourselves into a literal fire or anything. That’s where Eurydike’s lesson comes in: Perhaps it’s letting go of a snide remark or judgmental attitude towards you or your path. Perhaps it’s releasing yourself from a bond where you can’t continue your path without facing daily attack or criticism. Perhaps it’s simply Aligning yourself with Spirit, and realizing that whatever challenges and vulnerability we might feel now is just part of our Collective Learning Curve as part of this Massive Awakening.

In whatever way this challenge arises, and it will – especially Jupiter (at 7 deg Leo, loosely conjunct Venus at 9 deg Leo) is squaring Vesta (7 deg Scorpio), we’re likely to face criticism or the heavy hand of the judgment by others.

We have a powerful Grand Sextile (Hexagram, Star of David, Seal of Solomon, Anahata / Heart Chakra Symbol, Shadkona Yantra, etc.) in the skies between 7:18 am 30/7/14 – 3:22 am 31/7/14, GMT + 8. So that begins at 7:18 pm 29/7 in New York, 12:18 am 30/7 in London, 5:18 am in India and 9:18 am in Sydney – and lasts 20 hours from then.

Grand Sextiles are powerful portals of manifestation – they reflect the energy of ‘Ask, and Ye Shall Receive’. Intention and Clarity of what you desire to manifest is a key part of working with this energy.

Rise Like The Phoenix! A GLOBAL PRAYER FOR BIRTH-DEATH-REBIRTH: HOPI AND THE GRAND SEXTILE By Priestess Bairavee Balasubramaniam, PhD

Venus is birthing the new world as we speak. Both Mother and Midwife, She Bridges Form and Spirit. She is tapping into the powerful energy of a perfect Grand Sextile (Hexagram, Star of David) present in the heavens. The asteroid Hopi completes the Grand Sextile at 16 Taurus where no personal or transpersonal planets are present. This alignment is strongest in the sky between 7:18 am July 30th till July 31st 3:22 am.

Grand Sextiles are, astrologically speaking, portals of powerful manifestation that light up the Sky! Their symbol has been adopted in different faiths and speaks of a Seal of Protection. Made up of 2 Grand Trines and 6 Sextile aspects, the Grand Sextile simply tells us: WHAT YOU ASK, YOU SHALL RECEIVE.

Many of us claim to want peace and hope, yet subconsciously cling onto beliefs that perpetuate polarity, dis-empowerment and injustice. Some say they want to be happy, but are still deeply programmed and conditioned to sabotage their own joy at a powerful, subconscious level – or see fit to judge who deserves joy and who does not. In this way we create so many divisions within ourselves which are then reflected into the World.

The meaning of asteroid Hopi reflects this dual possibility of manifestation. On the one hand, the Hopi people are associated with peace-loving ways, they know how to nurture and be nurtured by the Earth – their name literally means ‘ The Peace-Loving People’ and they possess an intimate connection with the cycles of the Earth and the Heavens. On the other hand, in astrology, the asteroid Hopi is connected with ‘territorial disputes, prejudice, minority experiences and ambush’. Not a happy connotation when you remember the history of Native Americans and their eventual dispossession. Hence expressing dual poles of what can be manifested at during this powerful Grand Sextile.

The other astral bodies included are Saturn, Venus, Chiron Retrograde, Pluto Retrograde and the Moon in Virgo. That involves karma, material values, healing, spirituality, crisis, the status quo/government, priest/essing, spiritual service – as both Grand Trines occur in Earth/Water signs.

So how do you know what you’re manifesting at this time is actually in alignment with your Spirit?

If you choose to – When working with this Grand Sextile, you’re going to really have to ‘feel it’. From your gut, from your Core, from that Sacred Spark of Spirit inside you. Push through old conditionings, patterns of karmic behavior, all those learned habits of denial and control  —  and find that place. Call it Core, Home, Center, Heart, Womb, Truth, Spirit – whatever works for you.

You’ve got it. Know this. And find that Place as you work with the energies of this powerful alignment.

The timing of these dates are significant for their own reasons as – in the Hindu tradition – the 30th is Masik Vinayaga Chathurthi (a prayer to Lord Vinayaga, the elephant-headed deity of wisdom and the removal of obstacles), whereas the 31st is Nag Panchami – the day in which (according to Hinduism), the race of serpents called Nagas were saved by the Goddess Manasa Devi (Snake Goddess). The Serpent is associated with birth-rebirth, the Underworld (Patala, Nagaloka – linked to Agartha), the preservation of the female principle and the honoring of the Earth’s Womb.  Millions of people in India will be celebrating these festivals – and their energies will also be a part of the matrix of energy across this Planet. It is entirely your choice as to which day you do it on, or whether you want to take this into account at all as you work with the energies of the Grand Sextile.

Also – this Birthing of the New World is taking place close to a Grand Cardinal Cross (which I will talk about in a different post), and the Gaelic festivals of Lugnasadh / Lammas (Northern Hemisphere) and Imbolc (Southern Hemisphere). Both are key days or Sabbats in the Gaelic calendar and represent a liminal moment between different worlds, with the theme of Birth-Death-Rebirth woven into them. In line with the call to ‘Heal the Masculine’, it is worth noting that the Sun God begins to die at Lammas, his energy spent in the Harvest (and the Earth Mother who makes it possible). During Imbolc, he is already a young boy, reborn, his energies young but beginning to reach their peak once more. This corresponds to the dynamic of Masculine Energies between Scorpio (where Mars is) and Leo (where the Sun, Jupiter and Lilith are)   In Goddessian terms, Imbolc is associated with the fires of Lady Brighid and and Lammas with Demeter. Both mark important seasonal transitions.

What can do you to work with this powerful transformative energy?

Prayer, meditation, singing, painting, poetry, introspective work, body-work, dancing, grounding, martial arts – anything that makes you feel connected with Spirit will do. It is important to center and guide yourself through this time with a Heart/Spirit/Womb/Soul centered perspective, rather than the dictates of Ego, or Pure Mind. Remember that this is a time of bridging and birthing both worlds – of allowing the Sun God to begin his death before a powerful, and beautiful Rebirth – of speaking to the Mother as she presides over these subtle, yet powerful moments of transition.

This video is less about specific astrological aspects as part of this ‘season of shifts’, and more about what these energies mean for us as individuals, and at the collective level. We are challenged at this time to re-define and heal our conception of the masculine, in ourselves, our relationships, our choices and our perceptions of the world at this time. This is the core message of this video – and is expressed through reference to astrological aspects.
