new moon in aquarius february 2014 – Dr. Bairavee Balasubramaniam PhD: The Sky Priestess

I’ve had a strange day today. I felt this sudden weakness and lethargy come over me. No amount of nutrition or self care could really explain this swift drop in energy levels. It’s been one of those days where you just have to lie down from time to time. I checked with a fellow priestess I trust and realized it was something that wasn’t limited to my life (a relief in some ways).

Eventually (in addition to all else that’s going on energetically in the world right now), I realized that this is a part of the buildup to this year’s most intense Supermoon: The Aquarius Full Moon on the 11th of August 2014, 2:08 am (GMT +8 :00).

I will of course, be posting a separate piece on the Full Moon closer to the date – but consider this a teaser. Whatever you shall be manifesting shall be directly linked to events or intentions set during the Aquarius New Moon.

Looking through my astrology archives on The Goddess, The Serpent and The Sea: Building Pathways of Light (GSS). I realized that the New Moon occurred on January 31st, 2014. This coincided with the start of the Year of the Horse in the Chinese Calendar and was a ‘Black Moon Rising’, i.e the second New Moon in a calendar month.

The image attached is a floral arrangement made as part of Chinese New Year Celebrations, taken on 31.1.2014 – the start of the Year of the Horse itself.

There were also three powerful yods that were active during the New Moon – and the seeds of the karmic consequences of actions performed and intentions set then, will be ready for reaping now. For reference, this was close to the time of Imbolc (February 1st) in the Northern Hemisphere – as the Goddess heals from the birthing of the Sun God once more; also associated with the energies of Lady Brighid.

Look back to that time and see whatever it is that you decided to do, intended to achieve or felt at that time and see how it has ‘ripened’, ‘matured’ or ‘culminated’ at this time of Harvest (echoing the theme of Lammas in the Northern Hemisphere celebrated on August 1st).

This is a very happy confirmation for me because – as most of you would have seen – I’ve been celebrating the 5000 mark today on my page (GSS), exactly 11 months after I founded it.

As I set up my celebration thread I had this feeling that I would find some reference to its growth but didn’t know how (earlier today). I looked through my archives and saw that we celebrated our 4000 mark exactly at the time of the Aquarius New Moon. It’s nice to know that we’ve grown, 1000-strong in half a yearly cycle. I invite you all to join this growing, conscious spiritual community if so interested.
