AWAKENING WITH GODDESS ERIS – IN A GRAND FIRE TRINE WITH THE SUN AND JUPITER RETROGRADE!

Blessings to all! This is a blessed time for the Goddess of Chaos, the Bringer of Balance. She, in the form of Eris (the ‘dwarf planet’ at 22 Aries) trines Jupiter Retrograde (22 Leo) and the Sun (22 Sagittarius), creating a powerful three-way conduit of Fire. This alignment goes exact tomorrow (14 Dec), 1 day before the exact square of Uranus/Pluto (15 Dec, GMT + 8).

This is a time where Eris calls to all of us, irrespective of gender identity. She says NO to the ways of old, the structures, philosophies, ideas and narratives that have held up what we call ‘the status quo’. Eris says NO to all those forms of conditioning that have held us back from expressing our Authentic Selves, and with it, the Fierce, Primal Energy of the Feminine.

Eris talks to us of the gift that comes through competition, through an intense sense of striving, through pushing our way forward and through what could be a hostile environment. Here we become path-makers and path-breakers, particularly in areas in which the Feminine has been exiled or ridiculed. In excess, strife and competition become hindering blocks to our progress as the act of competing becomes more important than the goal or destination we seek. The same energy can turn into a squabble, even amongst those on the same Path, heading towards the same Goal.

Personally, I see Goddess Eris, through the sign of Aries, as one who calls to us to realize that we – as individuals – embody all polarities and possibilities. Good, bad, beautiful, ugly, successful, a ‘failure’, happy, sad – and so on. Therefore, whilst competition and striving towards a goal is the first level of manifesting Her energy, it is but a precursor to a far deeper level of realization.

Ultimately I see the energy of Eris manifesting through a form of Dynamic Balance, in which you go through the world and stake your claim to assert who you are without shackles. Yet at the same time you accept that your role in this world and the reaction you have to it are but parts of a Grand, Holographic Reflection – of the Universe itself.

You cannot truly compete against another and defeat them as they are you. You are them. We are all but reflections of each other, of the same Source.

You can only strive to express the purest vibration of that part of you that you are in control of, and allow others the space to do the same. This I think is the healthiest form of striving and competition.

A deeper manifestation of Eris’ energy is to reflect this quality of acceptance and tolerance, whilst (externally) going through the world as the Mighty Goddess of Discord and Chaos. (Don’t worry, Chaos is our friend when we need to shake the status quo up – and we most certainly do!).

Put your best foot forward and stand up for yourself, recognizing, that we are all doing the same in our own ways at this time. Honor the Other, just as you Honor your Self in Balance.

With Jupiter Retrograde in the mix, connect to your inner guidance through creative activities and pursuits, work with your kids or just spend them with them if you can. The Sun in Sagittarius asks you to align yourself with teachings from guides, structured forms of knowledge/education and to open yourself to the Great Adventure that is Life. Tomorrow promises to be interesting! If I could summarize it with a mantra, it would be:

FORWARD, HO! (internally and externally)
