HEADS UP! THE TRICKSTER´S ABOUT! (Piscean Projection, Chiron-South Node-Conjunction, Sun at 29 Pisces … & More)

The Universe sometimes teaches us things through the archetype of the Trickster. It´s when you experience or learn something through the act of misrepresentation or trickery, often seen as play. Coyote, for instance, is a Trickster God in the Native American tradition. That corresponds with Monkey in the Chinese tradition, or Anansi the Spider in the African tradition.

They´re not necessarily mean, just cheeky buggers who really make you learn by making you do something foolish. Wisdom comes when you realize the joke´s on you, and you see it as part of the Divine Dance – maybe you´ll have a laugh at yourself at the end of the day. Not my favourite archetype, but certainly a rewarding one (I´m a Tiger in the Chinese system, more of a serious type).

Thinking about it (and seeing the first Wikimedia Commons image that popped up – shared above), you can see Trickster energy as a different octave, or form of Chaos. Perhaps it´s Chaos (or Kaos) wearing a smiley-face mask. The Universal kick-up-the-bum or spanner-in-the-works tinkling with the jiggling of the bells on the jester´s hat. And it just makes you want to laugh, doesn´t it? (not the kind of laughter you see from Saturday night stand-up at the Apollo Theater, but the drier, existential kind).

But hey … giggling .. I mean, moving along…

Astrologically speaking, there´s a couple of candidates that might account for this Trickster vibe I´ve been seeing about:

One is the Sun preparing to leave Pisces, now at it´s 29th (final degree). We´re preparing for a new cycle (i.e. the Equinox) and clearing the psychic pipes in the meantime, before the Sun shifts into Aries. The kind of ´trickery´ one might see here doesn´t necessarily have to do with an external person, but the inner trickster-projector (quite related with some of the falliabilities of Pisces energy).. read on…

There´s quite a few bodies nearby the Sun adding emphasis the challenges and gifts of Pisces through various channels: Mercury, the Mis/Communicator – 25 Pisces; South Node & Chiron (that´s a biggie) – 21 Pisces ; Ceres (the Mother-Nurturer) – 19 Pisces.

The South Node conjunct Chiron really stresses the need to release from cycles of (perceived) woundedness, victimization and matryrdom. Through that, profound healing and access to psychic gifts is possible. Quite a lot of you will be working through past life cycles, karmic connections and generally – some pretty old stuff.

Mercury in Pisces raises the risks of verbal slippage, losing sight of the necessary details, or simply mis-communication (in general). Remember the inner trickster at play. The South Node-Chiron conjunction nearby adds a karmic weight to such exchanges. Think of them as greater gifts that allow you to clear energetic blockages.

Ceres in Pisces asks us to disconnect from over-attachments to the Mother archetype, particularly with the aspect of it that can be particularly smothering or controlling, especially through passive-aggressive methods. If you´re going to try to nurture yourself or others, be clear with your intent. Sometimes disconnection and detachment is the most compassionate thing you can do. Sometimes it´s prayer. But it really depends on your specific situation.

Generally speaking,

Watch out for seeing your own shadow as the bogeyman, mistranslations or perceptions of things that make you feel wounded, victimized or persecuted .. or just plain silly. Chances are it doesn´t really have to do with anyone else, or anything external to you. Be clear with your words as best as possible (remember the North Node in Virgo opposes Chiron), but there´s no need to cut others down. Try your best to make sure you´ve got the organizational details of things ironed out, practical matters sorted – for anything you´re working on at this time.

People will be what they choose to be and you cannot control another´s reaction to you. If you do see someone reacting strongly to something you say or do, which may be entirely innocent – bear in mind that they might be acting out some old pattern of wounding. Which does not mean you need to back down from your truth, it just means you understand the dynamic a little better.

Be clear, be honest, don´t beat about the bush. Say what you mean, mean what you say. But don´t expect others to see you in any particular way.

That´s generally good advice, but especially relevant for the present time.

AQUARIUS FULL MOON – TRANSFORMATION THROUGH VULNERABILITY & THE SEXUALITY OF THE MAIDEN (JULY 31, 2015)

Blessings to All. The Aquarius (Blue) Full Moon is about to go exact in 8 hrs, 18 minutes (10:42 am, GMT) at 7 Aquarius-Leo ’55. We will be reaping the seeds set during the Aquarius New Moon ( + Supermoon ) of Jan 20/21, 2015 – here’s my article from then for reference: http://wp.me/p4OUNS-i5 .

It’s certainly a time of electric breakthroughs/breakdowns, heightened intuition and an awareness of just how capable we are of manifesting our Gifts, in co-creative Partnership with the Cosmos – and ideally, as part of our service to the Collective.

Many ideals will be shifted, either to dissolution, or to further clarity. Take extra care around electrical items at this time, including the groups we’re in and friendships we make through social media. Also remember that electricity runs through our bodies, by way of our nerves, neurons and their information signaling/sharing mechanisms – try to avoid intense emotional burnout, be gentle on yourselves and others.

Astrologically speaking, it’s a fairly intense climate of multiple retrogrades, with Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius, 20 Aries) also in retrograde. At this time it is conjunct a body known as Karma (21 Aries), which, along with the karmic intensity of retrogrades, situates many of the lessons of this Full Moon within the resolution of past karmic ties.

In terms of the Sun-Moon opposition itself, I see the Sun and Moon woven together in a Grand Fixed Cross. The Sun is conjunct Diana and Eros (7 Leo), whilst opposing The Moon (7 Aquarius), and (both) squaring Eurydike (7 Taurus) and Achilles / Asteroid Lilith (7 Scorpio).

Sun-Diana-Eros in Leo: The focus is upon the Sacral Chakra and its creative, co-creative, pro-creative and expressive energy. This is where the tender, sensual, vulnerable, child-like parts of ourselves dance without fear and abandon. Whilst this is a wonderful thing, the flip-side of Leo energy is when we display or project a certain image of our emotions, feelings and sensual desires in order to elicit a response from another in a certain way, or when we do so to gratify the ego. The Sun brings its focused power of awareness and illumination to these areas of our lives, whilst the protection of Diana ensures that our Inner Children are safe to express themselves in these ways. Diana was of course, the goddess of the hunt and the Moon, protector of the sacred sexuality of young maidens 🙂 Eros comes along to show us how our expressive natures can help us reconnect with a far more intimate, primordial and ecstatic connection with All-Of-Creation. It’s kind of that feeling you get when some days, you are so very happy, that it just feels like you’re this delightful heap of conscious, sparkling stardust! Yes, getting to this realization can involve sexual experiences of eroticism, but is not confined to that one domain of life.

Moon in Aquarius – described above

Eurydike in Taurus – I somewhat unkindly, though without great distortion, refer to Eurydike as the ‘poster-girl for codependency’. She essentially impales herself upon the spear that kills her husband Cyllarus, an impetuous centaur that rushes into something and gets himself killed. Very often, Eurydike’s energy warns us to ensure that we understand the difference between love and codependency (Robin Norwood’s Women Who Love Too Much is an excellent guide in making that distinction). If we believe that we are only worthy of life if we have someone to love us – as absolutely Disney-romantic as that sounds – we are probably in need of some work here. Taurus is of course the sign of abundance, that allows us to enjoy the sensual, sensorial world and our embodied, material place in it. Many might be triggered into re-living these issues as they explore the sensual at this time (i.e. the touch of a lover that either makes you commit whole-heartedly, or that pushes you to the realization that something is not quite in balance).

Achilles / Asteroid Lilith in Scorpio – Achilles reminds us to recognize our own vulnerabilities.We don’t need to pretend that we can’t be hurt, or that we don’t cry. We don’t need to pretend that we’re so invincible that we have no vulnerabilities – for vulnerability can be one of the most powerful, beautiful and humbling experiences and gateways for us to understand just what makes us human. And to me, that is understanding the Divine. Lilith (the Asteroid, not Black Moon Lilith), as I learnt from Darkstar Astrology, refers to the Maiden aspect of the Dark Goddess, raging and rebelling against patriarchal strictures that seek to limit the expression of her beauty, ferocious power, and sexuality. Put the two together, and we find a need to get real about the wounds and vulnerabilities that surround our relationship with the sexuality/sensuality of the (Young) Feminine – as equally emphasized by Diana’s role in this alignment. In Scorpio, the conjunction between the two takes on an intense sexual, psycho-spiritual dynamic that ultimately leads us to a point of surrender. Through vulnerability, we find the courage to face our wounds and hurts (potentially coming from a friend, social media presence, our own ideals, etc.) and to look at their deeper psycho-spiritual origins. It’s a fantastic time for a breakthrough, and sometimes that can only happen with a breakdown.

Taking it all together, this Grand Cross teaches us about the need to shift our fixity, or fixed nature of views on issues surrounding our vulnerability, power, authenticity, sexuality and the ideals we identify with.

Finally, I’ve saved the best for last – The Moon is trined, whilst the Sun sextiles Magdalena (7 Libra). She represents the energy of The Magdalene, as the spouse of Christ. We see much coming through with respect to the wounds of the Feminine, particularly in the ways Her Sexuality and Power is projected upon. Look to her as a guide – you may also find yourselves calmed by rose essential oils or rose quartz crystals at this time. They can (for most people), be a tender, healing, balm through such emotional currents.

Those of you with placements near 7 Pisces will experience this as a powerful Yod or Finger of Fate. In the skies we see Atropos (6 Pisces) and Neptune Retrograde (9 Pisces) nearby. Neptune calls us to find a point of dissolution through the act of absolute, compassionate surrender whilst Atropos – as the eldest of the Three Fates, represents the Elder Sister whose role it is to cut the Thread of Life – in this case – she signifies the ending of one chapter … which inevitably signals, the potential of a new beginning in its wake.

THE SKIES NOW : SOULMATE DYNAMICS – THE HAPPY CHILD AND THE LION/NESS

Blessings all. We still have pretty much the same aspects as we did yesterday, obviously now Post-Eclipse. The biggest change is the formation of a T-Square between the Moon in Taurus, Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio and Juno in Leo. This is an intense configuration that points to the new role of Juno, having just entered a new sign. This Asteroid Goddess is usually conceptualized as the soulmate and marriage partner, but I would reinterpret her as referring to the Flow of the Sacred Feminine itself for reasons I have previously discussed). Juno in Leo encourages this flow through Romance, Sacral Activity, Creativity, Engaging with Children and other manifestations of lovely Leonine energy. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is challenging us to look at the ways in which we have shared intimate energies with others, sexually, financially, and in any context where two entities merge with one another. We look to past relationships and soul contracts and untangle the dynamics of issues of power and control, particularly in romance, over creative work/expression or over children. The Taurus Moon, seeking security often through material attachments and possessions is squaring Juno as well.

The deep work of examining the Soul Contract (which ultimately leads one back to an understanding and honouring of both Feminine and Masculine and all other aspects of the Divine) is one that potentially destabilizes the material security, solidity and sensual pleasures that the Taurus Moon seeks. The Taurus Moon – Mercury Rx opposition emphases this tension, played through the dynamics of control, domination, possessiveness, and so on. Taurus relates to the flow of Abundance through one’s life and one’s perceived connection with the Source of that Abundance. Ideally, it makes it feel secure and safe in the knowledge that all will be provided for, in whatever form that is required.

So you’ve got all these elements in a powerful T-Square. Leo is asking for your authenticity, Scorpio and Taurus are both seeking security and power in different ways. Vulnerabilities are on the line and the presence of Mercury Retrograde signals deep karmic dynamics at play throughout.

So, what on earth do you do?

Try to look at the lessons of each of these signs:
Leo wants you to play, be yourself, be unafraid to express your inner child and to know there is a lion/ness within that can leap out to protect you if need be.

Scorpio wants to know the self but fears the deep subconscious. It engages in games of projection as a defense, or themes of submission and dominance to avoid ownership of experience. Know thy Self and realize that everyone, even in the ones who have hurt you, have played their role in getting you to look in the Spiritual Mirror and see the Beautiful Soul reflected therein for what it is.

Taurus wants to bathe in the waters of abundance and fears loss and disconnection. Focus upon that Unbreakable connection between you and Spirit. Know that detachment is not the lack of interest in the material, but the knowledge that you are firstly Spirit, explained through this powerful quote:

” Detachment is not that you should own nothing, but that nothing should own you.

The same applies for people and partnerships.

As you encounter individuals or remember experiences in which your deepest vulnerabilities were gored by the Bull’s tusks or Stung by the Scorpion’s Tail – remember the lessons of each sign.

And stay Balanced. You Co-Create Your Reality with Others. Accept that, and release what you need to.

And in time, you’ll see a whole new side of your emerge. Ready to dance, create and play – the Happy Divine Child watched over by the Lion/ness.
