Quite a few alignments in the sky. Wanted to point out (briefly) the Sun (18 Taurus)-Vesta (18 Pisces) sextile. Excellent time to bridge the material and the spiritual, particularly as we manifest our paths of service. Opportunities to find material ways to support our spiritual connectedness. Those with placements at 18 Libra will experience this as a Yod! Also – we see Sun (18 Taurus) trining Lilith (18 Virgo) – amplification of the energies of the Dark Goddess Archetype (yay). The Mercury (9 Gemini) -Neptune (9 Pisces) square creates a challenging aspect in the realms of communication/mental abstraction and spiritual understanding. Those with bodies at 9 Virgo or Sagittarius may feel this intensified as a Mutable T-Square or Grand Mutable Cross. We’ll also be experiencing an intense Yod between Saturn Rx (2 Sagittarius), Moon in Aquarius (1’06-4’03) and Venus (1 Cancer) – that’s going to ask us to rewrite some of the scripts and conditioning surrounding the way we see femininity, domesticity, relationships, material value systems, traditions, cultures, family dynamics and the home. That’s a biggie! The yod lasts roughly between 9 – am – 2:30 pm 10th May, GMT + 8. Blessings everyone! At 2:45 am (GMT + 8, 5th March 2015), Venus conjunct Uranus in Aries at 14 Aries ’38 – a little under two hours ago.
This represents a powerful time for us to awaken to the Truth of the Self – particularly in the context of relationships, partnerships, our feminine, sensual, selves and our relationship with the material world. We may experience profound revelations in these areas, and also in matter to do with the way we perceive, evaluate, judge and hold onto certain value systems. The theme of attachment comes up strongly as well.
Venus/Uranus is squared Pluto In Capricorn, triggering the Uranus-Pluto dynamic. It’s a fairly unpredictable alignment – and so be open to the truth that is revealed. In some ways, this alignment Opens the Floodgates to the Final Uranus Pluto Square (March 16/17)
Also note that Venus/Uranus are also trined Jupiter Retrograde (14 Leo) and The Great Attractor (14 Sagittarius) – creating a Grand Fire Trine. Briefly – this essentially amplifies this energy, allowing it to guide us to deeper Pathways of Abundance, Knowledge and Grace. We are likely to find teachings that allow us to Heal the Inner Child, The Womb/Sacral (see discussion below as well) and to express our Authenticity. The Great Attractor ensures that we will be greatly drawn to paths, teachings and guides who address these aspects of your journey. Be sure to evaluate claims of knowledge and guidance first, before deciding to believe it. Listen to your Gut!
Venus/Uranus are also sextiled Eurydike (15 Aquarius) and Amor (16 Aquarius) – these are energies which support us in moving past co-dependent traits as we seek an ideal state of being, or process of Love/Being In Love/Loving. Those with placement between 12-19 Virgo will experience this as a profound Yod (Finger of Fate). Bear in mind that tomorrow’s Virgo Full Moon comes at 14 degrees Virgo, and so this Yod plays a central role in this lunar cycle!

Venus is at the Anaretic (Final, or 29th degree) of Sagittarius. At this critical degree, the energy of Venus reviews all the lessons it has brought us through its Sagittarian transit and gives us the opportunity to use what we have learnt in preparation of it’s shift into Capricorn. There is a certain intensity associated with our sense of attachment and value systems we use in matters of romance, material attachments – and particularly in Sagittarius – our relationship with ‘grand ideas’ / philosophies / paths. Sagittarius can be pretty opinionated about what it believes is true, eschewing all other ways of knowing – and when Venus is convinced that what it knows is ‘true’, it intensifies our emotional and psychological attachment to those constructs. At 12:33 am, December 11th 2014 (GMT + 8), Venus will enter the sign of Capricorn – the Earth-Crone, the Sea-Goat, The Tomb and the Mountaintop. When the time for that comes, I’ll tell you about the wisdom She brings to us then. Until then, enjoy the lessons, the intensity and the passionate convictions that Venus in Sagittarius continues to bring to you – and allow yourself to transcend these passionate attachments if you so choose.
At this time, Venus is in a loose conjunction with Vesta (The Priestess). They both sextile Neptune in Pisces and point via inconjunct to the Moon in Leo, which is currently opposed Mars in Aquarius. The intense, shifting energy of Venus at this time, features into this Yod (Finger of God/Goddess/Fate/Karma). We are asked to evaluate our judgment of our spiritual paradigms as we begin to acknowledge the material and manifestation of that Path of Facilitation. Venus may be holding onto some ideals which are out of resonance with the material path of service – use that energy to ‘break through’.
Venus and Vesta sextile Neptune in Pisces, which asks us about what we consider to be ‘real’ in our understandings of what it’s all about. The reality beyond the veil of illusion, the trappings of the material world. We are called to see both the truth and the illusion that makes up our subjective experience of a transcendental reality.
Finally this energy apexes with the Moon in Leo that seeks to express its truth for all the world to see. You may find yourself at a karmic point of culminating in which you are asked to re-evaluate sub-conscious perceptions and/or emotional connections with issues to do with the Heart and Sacral Chakra. Be it in matters of romance, creativity, childhood/children, honoring/healing the wounded child – this is your time to learn how to express yourself authenticity, shedding all the masks and personae that surround your Truth in layers of learned behavior and conditioning.
With the Moon opposed Mars, this can be a time in which we find these dynamics playing out emotionally through the Mother Archetype and the Masculine archetype. Mars represents your own masculine (yang) energy and often, the energy of the male lover. The Mother archetype represents your ancestral connection with the Goddess, your own ‘Mother’ within and also your relationship with your biological Mother – among many other things.
This is an excellent opportunity to reach a point of decision wherein these energies, now polarized, find a sense of Balance. You/ the male or masculine lover or energy may find an unconventional way of demonstrating and expressing what makes you feel original and Unique. This can feed into and manage to heal aspects of the tender, wounded inner Child that calls out for expression and longs for recognition.

There’s a Cauldron in the skies, and it’s brimming with energy. Uranus Retrograde (13 Ari) is trined Juno/Moon (12 Leo), which is squared Pallas Athena (11 Sco), which sextiles Pluto/Mars (11-13 Cap), which squares Uranus Rx (12 Ari). It lasts till November 23rd , and so it’s energy plays a big role for the next 9 days.
That in itself is a potent combination, one which seeks to set your level of consciousness on fire and initiate major life shifts. But that’s not why I’m writing this post … This Cauldron (not a technical term, just what I call it), is activated by the most powerful Yod of 2014 – the one which defines the month of November 2014 (as I’ve told you about before – http://wp.me/p4OUNS-b2 ). This Yod gets fully re-activated again at 4:18 am, 14th November 2014, GMT + 8
Pluto/Mars – the explosive combination of power, crises, subconscious/subterranean journeys meets the fierce assertiveness of Mars. They join forces in the sign of Capricorn, taking (stereotypically) masculine energy and amplifying its power in the sign of Capricorn – all to do with status, achievement, legacy and our ideas surrounding what outlives us from a material perspective. This powerful energy is sextiled Chiron Retrograde (13 Pis), the Wounded Healer, who is forcing us to confront old wounds from our Soul’s past (karmic ties), our final point of dissolution/beginning, our understandings of spirituality, otherworldly energies and transcendence.
Both Mars/Pluto and Chiron Rx are sextiled one another, and each side makes an inconjunct aspect to Juno conjunct the Moon in Leo – thus reactivating A MAJOR YOD. The focus on this energies will be upon your emotional, intuitive, subconscious understandings of Sacral / Sexual / Creative / Passionate / Joyful / Child-like Energy (Leo). The energy of Leo links up with your sense of joy in life, your ability to create, to express who you truly are, as well as your interactions with romantic partners and children. There is some overlap here with Heart Chakra energy, but my feeling is that the emphasis is more so on the Sacral (Creative) aspect.
Juno (already a part of the Yod) focuses the intensity of this energy upon soulmate dynamics in particular, and the people who open you up to new experiences and perspectives, particularly those that involve the flow of Goddess Energy (Shakti, Asherah, Sophia, Shekinah) and so on. Yods are portals towards new chapters (or re-visitations of old chapters) in our spiritual journeys.
We have a choice as to how we deal with the challenge posed by this yod. Wisdom can be found within your Heart’s deepest Core. You will know no Fear, no Ego, no Confusion the moment you connect with this energy within yourself. Working with Goddess archetypes at this time is a splendid idea, for the spiritualists among you x
Coming back to the Cauldron, this powerful yod creates opportunities for Awakening (Uranus Rx) in your understanding and embodiment of Self and I AM Consciousness. It also challenges and allows you to strength your ability to use the mind and voice of conviction to hold true to your Heart’s messages (Pallas Athena). Thse with astrological placements at or near 11-13 degrees Gemini will experience a yod involving the sextile of Pallas Athena and Mars/Pluto.
I would also like you to bear in mind that the Sun is nearing its square with Jupiter (21 Leo) – I expect this to manifest as a form of tension, probably involving a respected guru/recognized spiritual/intellectual/religious authority. Bear in mind that this is also contributing to a highly charged energetic climate in its own right. Those with astrological placements at or near 21 Gemini/Aquarius will experience either a Fixed T-Square or a Grand Fixed Cross (depending on your chart). An excellent opportunity for getting out of established ‘ruts’ and overly-fixed ways of thinking about your path, and who you are.
The North Node (17 Lib) is still sextiled Vesta (19 Sag) – those with astrological placements at or near 17-19 Taurus will experience a very, very karmic yod that will test the resolve, dedication and commitment of any spiritual facilitator (i.e. priestess, witch, priest, shaman/ka, etc.). The opportunity to find ways to support and/or nurture yourself materially, emotionally and spiritually will the point of focus.

At 6:31 am, 11/11/14 (GMT + 8), Mars will be exactly conjunct Pluto at 11 Capricorn. (numerologists – note the 11-s). Mars/Pluto is sextiled Chiron Rx (13 Pisces) and both inconjunct Juno (12 Leo) – creating a SUPERYOD. I can’t think of any other yod this year which has involved such a concentration of energy. With the apex of the yod in Juno – all of the energy is going to focus upon one’s soulmate relationships and/or one’s connection with the Flow of the Feminine, i.e. Goddess Consciousness! Whilst this is going on, we also have a Grand Water Trine between the Moon in Cancer, Neptune/Chiron Rx in Pisces and Mercury/Pallas Athena/Sun in Scorpio – strong, strong, emotions from deep, deep, karmic ties come out to play.
The Moon in Cancer also creates a T-Square with Uranus Rx (13 Aries) and Mars/Pluto. Remember that Uranus Rx and Pluto are squared within 2 degrees of one another. Those with astrological placements near 13 Libra will experience this as a powerful GRAND CARDINAL CROSS. – a tremendous challenge to your sense of self, ideas of power/success and your most tender emotional being.
The Moon is inconjunct Ceres at 5 Sag – those with placements at or near 5 Aquarius will experience this as a YOD – a further point of karmic crisis and/or key decision point in life. This involves your ability to nurture and be nurtured, as well as key aspects of your emotions and subconscious make-up.
Pluto erupts and transforms through crisis. Mars asserts and acquires through action. When the two meet, we see a powerful amplification of energy. All of that feeds into the alignments described above.

We are also currently in the final hours of a powerful Yod or Finger of Fate/Karma involving Pluto (11 Cap), Chiron Rx (13 Pis) and the Leo Moon (9-15 Leo), loosely conjunct Jupiter (18 Leo) (and earlier on, loosely conjunct Juno (3 Leo).
Yods are energies that bring situations to a swift point of crisis or culmination. They represent key decision points in the path, direction and intensity of our Soul’s Growth, and the Journey it takes.
Chiron Rx and Pluto are sextiled in this yod. This indicates a potential for blending the energies of wounding-transcending-healing-teaching (Chiron) and transformation-through crisis (Pluto). The Chirotic Wound represents the Soul’s Wound or the subjective point of one’s deepest vulnerabilities. In Pisces, it references our spiritual path, level of awareness, understanding of formlessness/boundlessness in the Cosmic Ocean of Energy we are all a part of. With Neptune squared Vesta ( http://wp.me/p4OUNS-9J ) lighting up Pisces (and Sagittarius) now, the tension you may feel in your designated path at this time may trigger some old spiritual, deeply karmic wound. Some may experience this as a situation where one’s faith is tested, and the limits of one’s ability to love, to be compassionate, to empathize to be found (or transcended).
Pluto can represent the intimate partner, authority figure (as it is in Capricorn), business partner or any person who wields an inordinate amount of power in your life, or some relationship dynamic. You may feel ‘bulldozed’ over by this person unless you have developed an authentic relationship to your own power and inner authority. The crisis that is triggered by this dynamic can lead to more profound lessons to do with one’s purpose in life, the legacy one leaves behind, institutions of power and governance and ways we understand the term ‘success’ and ‘accomplishment’.
The Leo Moon, particularly due to its proximity with Jupiter, amplifies our emotional or intuitive perceptions/reactions to situations involving creative pursuits, romance, children or the ‘inner child’ construct. The person playing the role of the Moon in this dynamic – most likely a family member (mother or child is most likely) may want to be able to assert their authentic expressions of self – outside of the role or persona that the family unit expects/assumes them to play. Catalyzed by the volcanic power of Pluto and the potentially painful lessons of Chiron – this emotional outburst is likely to be a fiery one.
At a more powerful level, you might also realize some degree of finality in a home-bound/domestic situation. This realization may help you deal with the crisis-wrench that Pluto throws in the works, or the spiritual pain that Chiron may ask you to deal with. A deeper level of authenticity is within your reach at this time, just as it is for some key member of your family, involved in this dynamic. It takes work to be able to see it in that way – and if you can, kudos.
Those with bodies at or near 11-13 Aquarius will activate this yod powerfully. At the end of the day, no matter what kinds of drama emerges – remember, that this is a powerful lesson in which you get to choose your response, and in so doing, realize which values, dynamics and paradigms are truly authentic to your understanding of self at this time.
If this situation of learning/opportunity of growth occurred for you earlier in the day, it may also shed some light upon the way in which you access and work with the ‘sacred flow of the Feminine’ (a.k.a. The Vibration of the Goddess). Awakenings later in the day have more to do with the role of Jupiter as the Guru or Teacher. So choose your responses to this yod as wisely and as authentically as you can
At 10:41 am on October 10th, 2014 (GMT + 8), a powerful Yod (Finger of Fate/Karma) formed in the skies, involving: The Sun, The Moon, Venus, North Node, South Node, Chiron Retrograde and Uranus Retrograde. A second Yod forms at 8:23 pm with Mars, The Moon, and North Node/Venus/The Sun. The first yod breaks at 7:48 am tomorrow (Oct 11), whereas the second yod breaks a few hours later at 10:53 am.
The first yod is activated by a powerful opposition between Sun/North Node/Venus in Libra (as the apex) and South Node/Uranus Retrograde in Aries. The dynamics that activate this opposition are likely to involve a sense of wounding, particularly to do with one’s vision or understanding of spirituality, or one’s connection/perception of other worlds/realities through Chiron Retrograde in Pisces. The other activator is the security, sensuality and comfort/attachment seeking Moon in Taurus. Some issue to do with your basic sense of solidity and security and a challenge to your spiritual paradigm is likely to trigger a situation of crisis: One which requires you to assert who you are in a balanced, non-confrontational way. The temptation to ‘Charrrgeee!’ will be there, but it’s a call for a more quiet, yet equally powerful, type of self-assertiveness – particularly in partnerships (both professional and personal).
The second yod is linked to the first, meaning that the dynamics of Balance in Partnership (Libra) and the Taurus Moon are doubly activated. In this second Yod, it is the Moon that is the apex. The other activator is Mars in Sagittarius. Mars deals with our assertive drives and our urge to ‘go and get what we want’, typically described as ‘masculine energy’ (but not limited to men). It can also represent the male partner for some. In Sagittarius, this energy is prone to be overly judgement about what philosophy, practice or ideology they think is ‘right’ for everyone else.
With the Moon at the apex, it will be a time of heightened emotions for most – and the call to redefine our subconscious understandings (represented by the Moon) of what constitutes security, pleasure and comfort (Taurus). As Mars and Libra are involved, it is likely to be an issue triggered by a male or (stereotypically) masculine partner – either in personal or professional life.
Throughout this period, we will also see the formation of an intense T-Square involving The Moon, Jupiter/Lilith and Saturn/Ceres. This will be felt as a Grand Fixed Cross for those with astrological placements at or near 20-21 Aquarius. This lasts until 7:44 pm tomorrow.
Briefly – the apex of this T-Square is at Jupiter, then shifts to Lilith. Jupiter deals with an amplification of experiences, energies and teachings. In Leo, it focuses upon the lessons garnered through romance, creative pursuits, dynamic leadership, authentic self-expression, deep vulnerabilities, dealing with children and/or the inner child. Lilith deals with the Suppressed or Dark aspect of the Feminine on the rise. We may be called by the Taurus Moon (subconscious perceptions of material security, etc. ) and Saturn/Ceres (the karmic taskmaster conjunct the Nurturer in Deep Scorpio) to express these suppressed urges for self expression in a powerful, creative and dramatic way. Note that the Moon is already activated twice by the double yod, and now again, with this potent T-Square.
Remember that we still have a powerful Nodal Kite formation involving the Grand Fire Trine (Mars, Jupiter, Uranus Retrograde/South Node) opposed the Sun/Venus/North Node.
In some ways, the pressures of today’s Yods and T-Square form a ‘Part 2’ or sequel to Eclipse energies. We are likely to be called to act upon some of the lessons we learnt during the October 8 Eclipse itself – ultimately to do with the authentic expression and assertion of the Self in relation to Others.
On days like these – exercising your right not to respond, staying put or seeking solitude may be the most powerful expression of Honoring the Self. Put yourself out of the way of those who seek to incite you to extremes, or to unnecessary drama. Simply be you without the need for external validation or acceptance. Channel your emotions and energy into creative pursuits and activities.
The Grand Sextile, is a Star of David/Shadkona Yantra/Hexagram shaped configuration in the sky surrounded by a hexagon. It is a portal of Manifestation, a Divine Seal of Facilitation. This configuration is ‘completed’ through the motion of the Moon in the sign of Taurus.

Here are the components of the Grand Sextile, a planet/body in all Earth/Water elements:
Moon in Taurus – emotional security, subconscious relationship with the flow of abundance (be it wealth or inner resources like self-worth)

Sun in Virgo – the focus of one’s essence/vital energies is on the Path of Service, ways to maintain, preserve, and nurture the integrity of the Self and Others in Balanced Harmony. The role of Priest/ess in Spiritual Facilitation and Honoring the Earth-Mother is also highlighted.

(3) Mars shifts into Sagittarius and remains at 29 degree Scorpio throughout the duration of the Grand Sextile’s portal
The 29th degree is the Anaretic Degree. It’s the time and place where the lump sum, or intensity of the energy from a particular sign concentrates, just before it is transcended.
So look back to all of the lessons of Mars in Scorpio. The balanced use of assertive force or power, the desire to know/own/control kept in check, the penetrative emphasis on self-knowing, often through another.
So with that intense focus of assertive energy, penetrating to the depths of your subconscious, shedding light on your Shadow (sometimes seen in others) …
You’re going to feel the -shake-up-wake-up- at this time. Intensity of focus, powerfully deep emotions rising to the surface.
All in preparation for Mars’ entry into Sagittarius which will take place at 5:40 am, September 14th, 2014. Basically 5 hours after the Grand Sextile portal closes.
To Summarize – the Energy of this Portal of Manifestation Births a New Reality. It Anchors the Energies of the Rising Feminine and the Masculine which must now acknowledge and confront the deep emotions buried in its Shadow. the Masculine (energy of assertion, not limited to gender) will then teach the lessons of its emotive sensitivity as it moves through Sagittarius. Plenty of new information coming in the next phase of Mars’ Journey. The Feminine, on the other hand (again, not limited to gender) learns the lessons of the game of power, presence and challenging the patriarchy.
Pallas Athena and her androgynous energies will help us find ways to balance those energies and interpret them in powerfully new ways.
There is a dance of Balance that these, and other Energies in the Universe will play together at this time And eventually, we will find that Unity.
So as you anchor your intentions for Manifestation, focus upon your Truest Understanding of Divinity Open your Heart and Work with its energies.
Blessings everyone. I know we’ve already been preparing for this Supermoon for a week now – but there’s another peak of intensity that comes one day before it is due – the Sun-Chiron opposition at 15 Vir/Pis ’23.
Chiron is the Wounded Healer, or the Soul Healer – Its energy represents the deepest wounding within you. When opposed by the Sun, your conscious awareness of the wound is amplified. You may ‘feel it more’ at this time. Chiron Retrograde is in Pisces, signifying that the the issue most likely has something to do with your spiritual path and connection with Spirit. The Sun is in Virgo and is finding practical ways of getting things done and working with matter to keep the rhythm of life in balance.
Many will be feeling the sense of wounding even more so with the energy of the Full Moon, as the Moon will be so close to it. Consider this opposition a prelude, or taster of what is to come. Don’t be worried if you suddenly start crying or remembering past things that hurt you – they’re coming out now so you can become aware of them, and find ways to heal them. Stay centered, grounded – and if you feel overwhelmed – find some sacred/quiet space and simply breathe. That’s a perfectly valid response to the overwhelming energy that this configuration can bring.
It’s a good idea not to wound others, or to place yourself in circumstances where you are likely to get wounded. Being by yourself (only if you can handle it) or in the company of a reliable support group is a good idea at this time.
Now this opposition and upcoming Full Moon aren’t the only exact aspects in the sky – as you can see in the graphic – there’s quite a few of them.
The Sun-Chiron opposition forms the backbone of a Kite formation involving the Juno-Vesta/Saturn-Chiron Retrograde Grand Water Trine (link provided). In this formation, the energy of the Trine gets channeled and bounced back and forth in the opposition. The focal point would tend to be Chiron Retrograde in Pisces, however.
We’ve also got the Final Grand Cardinal Cross of 2014, involving Pallas Athena, Pluto Retrograde, Uranus Retrograde and Juno. At present, Pallas and Pluto – and – Uranus and Juno are squaring one another at an orb of +/- 1 degree. That’s pretty intense. Through Juno, the Grand Cross feeds into the Grand Trine, and therefore into the Sun-Chiron opposition.
We also have a very powerful Yod (Finger of Fate) formed by a sextile between the Sun (focus, awareness) and Vesta (priest/essing, spiritual service, tending the sacred flame, regeneration), both inconjunct/quincunx Uranus Retrograde (awakening, breakthrough, surprise, suddenness, the unexpected). Again Uranus is already engaged in the square with Juno (see above) – so all these configurations are connected and energetically amplifying the pivotal Sun-Chiron opposition.
There’s other things happening in the sky right now, but these are the most important aspects of the lot. I’ve skipped an explanation of what each bring as I’ve covered all the aspects in the links listed below. The one thing I haven’t explained is the Yod – so here goes:
Sun/Virgo sextiles Vesta/Saturn/Scorpio both quincunx Uranus Retrograde in Aries. I see this as a sudden, fairly abrupt issue that may arise from something that seems ‘mundane’, perfectly ‘day to day’. The roots of the issue or event may be more obscure, rooted back in your soul’s biography. The issue will unfold in an almost explosive way – and powerfully challenge your understanding of yourself – and the sacred authority you bear within you – at this time. You have the choice between hubris and humility, so make it wisely. Some may even manifest this as some kind of unexpected physical event or encounter are Aries often relates to the physical body itself. With a Yod, you can never say if it’s ‘bad’ or ‘good’ – only that it’s sudden and will lead you to make decisions that will set you upon some new (or to revisit an old) curriculum of spiritual growth and evolution.

In a few hours, the Moon will be conjunct the Sun in the sign of Leo. New Moons are typically associated with new beginnings – as the time to ‘set the seed’ of intention or action. The seeds you set now are likely to come to fruition, culmination or be somehow highlighted in six months’ time with the Full Moon in Leo on Feb 4th, 2015. The sign Leo is associated with the astrological 5th house, which is in turn linked with self-expression, creativity, romance and children. I also look to it as the expression of the purity, innocence and Joy of the Inner Child.
During this New Moon, we have three profound astrological aspects which transform, or modify this energy-of-beginnings in specific ways.
(1) New Moon (Sun/Moon) conjunct Jupiter
(2) Powerful Square with Mars in Scorpio and Ceres/Vesta/North Node in Libra – if the South Node-conjunct-Eris is included, the whole configuration becomes a loose T-Square.
(3) A world-changing Yod (Finger of Fate) involving Pluto Retrograde, Neptune Retrograde and apexing with the New Moon/Jupiter combination
The Sun (our focused attention, awareness, direction of vital energy) meets the Moon (emotion, intuition, psychological depths) and Jupiter (blessings, expansion) come together in the sign of the Joyful Child.
Were it not for the energetic climate, or ‘season of shifts’ we are all experiencing, this energy would be felt by most, if not all, as a pure bolt of joy! sunshine! rainbows, etc. That energy is there, but it is one amongst many aspects and influences that make up the astrological heavens at present.
One such factor is the motion of Mars into Scorpio (10:03 am, 26th July). As I’ve been saying in my videos, Mars-in-Scorpio is a powerful, intense, smouldering expression of masculinity. This will be felt at an intimate level as Scorpio is associated with the 8th house of secrets – sexuality, sensuality, the deep journey within to seek esoteric wisdom, shadow-working, shamanic journeying into the depths of the psyche – it is the cauldron in which the Phoenix first perishes and then rises from its own Ashes.
With the Sun, the Moon, and Jupiter in Leo squaring Mars in Scorpio what we essentially get is a clash of masculine energies – within men, women, all beings, and the planet. Leo seeks to express its innocence and seek validation from others in the process. Scorpio seeks to (to paraphrase Gargatholil) ’emotional security through power and control’.
Both signs can do much good, but, when energies are used from the place of the Ego – and not the Heart – we can get a manipulative Leo wearing a persona or mask to gain approval (and bolster an insecure ego), we can get an obsessive, controlling manipulator in Scorpio that seeks to control others from behind-the-scenes – unable to accept world-views that do not resonate with its own.
With Jupiter involved in the square, the ways in which we manifest this tense Leo-Scorpio dynamic will be amplified, and magnified several times over.
The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are also squared with Ceres (nurturing and being nurtured), Vesta (Priestessing, spiritual service) and the North Node in Libra. These bodies remind us that balance, diplomacy and partnership is what we require in order to nurture, heal and rejuvenate ourselves and others at this time. A T-Square is formed between all these bodies, with the apex (or focus of tension) at the New Moon/Jupiter conjunction, when the South Node in Aries is conjunct Eris – the Goddess of Discord.
Truly a melting pot of energies, and ones, which are easily provoked to extreme reactions.
Finally, I’d like to tell you about the aspect which I feel will truly be ‘the game-changer’ this New Moon. We will be having a powerful Yod or Finger of Fate between 2.31 – 9.11 pm on the 27th (GMT + 8:00) is formed. I would extend the sphere of its influence till 6:39 am, July 28th.
Yods are situations which often feel like crisis. It is literally as though a giant finger in the skies points you to a certain direction or situation in your life. The ways in which you respond to a yod will set you upon some new chapter of your spiritual journey. They are portals through which we learn just how far we’ve come, whether we’re ready to go to the next level, or if we need to learn more lessons from the teacher that is Karma.
Pluto Retrograde (transformation, crisis, associated with Scorpio energies – operating in retrograde – internally, within the psyche) sextiles Neptune Retrograde (spiritual transcendence through disillusionment, ‘cutting through the crap’, ‘bursting the bubble’, ‘peering through the veil’ and seeing what’s real, and what’s not). Pluto is in Capricorn (associated with career, societal status, achievements or legacy to the planet), whereas Neptune is in Pisces (transcendental spirituality, otherworldly energies, the dissolution of the ego and boundaries, recognition of Spirit-level existence).
These energies create the base of the Yod – they then inconjunct the New Moon (Sun/Moon/Jupiter) – creating crisis in need of Resolution. This crisis is going to challenge your desire for power/need to feel powerful – your spiritual vision or sense of what is Truth – and make you decide – how authentically you embody what is True for You.
